Preparing for a new baby can turn every room into a list. Our approach to private residence stewardship begins with a smaller question: which spaces will make the first days at home easier? A clear kitchen, a prepared bathroom and a comfortable place to rest are useful starting points. The home does not need to look like a showroom to feel ready for its next chapter.
Start with the rooms that will carry the day
Choose the bedroom, main bathroom, kitchen and the living area where you expect to spend time. Walk through the paths between them. Decide where household essentials will live, which counters need to stay clear and which furniture should remain exactly where it is.
This is a household preparation plan, not a medical or nursery-safety assessment. Questions about infant equipment, sanitizing feeding items or individual health needs belong with the relevant manufacturer or your healthcare professional.
Let the condition of the home set the scope
A home with recent professional care may need an Essential Refresh™. Blinds, baseboards, ceiling fans and bathrooms with accumulated buildup may call for the White Glove Deep Cleaning Experience™. These are different scopes, and the right choice begins with what is actually present.
Send an overview photo of each priority room and closer photos of the details that concern you. Tell us about recent painting, delicate finishes and areas you would prefer the team not to enter. Leave personal documents and identifying details out of the photos.
Agree on preferences before the visit
- Tell us whether you prefer to skip the added fragrance enhancement.
- Point out surfaces with special manufacturer care instructions.
- Identify belongings that should remain untouched and spaces that will already be in use.
- Confirm access, pets, parking and the practical arrival plan with your concierge.
Make the final walkthrough useful
Review the agreed rooms with the team and ask about any remaining marks or areas needing a different specialist. A clear explanation is more valuable than a promise that every surface will look new.
If carpet work is included, ask for care and drying guidance specific to the service and conditions. Allow the team to explain when the area can be used again rather than building your day around an assumed drying time.
Plan only as far ahead as you need
After the initial reset, consider which tasks you want help maintaining. A Home Preservation conversation can begin with the rooms that matter most and the rhythm that suits your household. There is no need to decide the whole year before you have experienced the first visit.
A considered homecoming leaves space for your family. Our part is to help prepare the home around it.
